III. PROVISIONAL MEMBER
A General Contractor or Specialty Contractor in the construction business may
apply to become a Provisional Member of the Greater Detroit Chapter. A company

to vote and may not hold any office in the Chapter.
A Provisional Member does not tender
its power of attorney appointing
the Chapter as its bargaining agent for any building trades unions, and the
fringe benefit contributions or wages as provided in the various labor contracts.
A company qualifying for membership as a Regular or Specialty Contractor
may at its option elect Provisional Member status
for one year. For a company in
business less than one year the term of provisional membership is two years.
At the end of a Provisional Member's term of membership, such Provisional
Member shall become either a Regular Member or a
Specialty Contractor Member, as appropriate,
subject to approval by the Board of Directors.

sense.
