  • Tracks and informs the Membership about upcoming construction projects in the Southeastern Michigan area, especially those projects which have unique requirements.
  • Helps to address fair payment practices within the construction industry by providing panel discussions and other educational programs that generate a healthy dialog between general contractors and subcontractors/suppliers on improving cash flow without government intervention.
  • Participates in community outreach programs such as coordinating and providing volunteers for such projects a the City of Detroit’s annual "Clean Sweep" beautification campaign.
  • Works to study the needs and requirements of the key customer groups that do business with Chapter Members: Owners, Architects/Engineers, Subcontractors/Suppliers and Public construction agencies.
  • Promotes quality in all aspects of the construction process.
  • Distributes industry relations information developed by AGC of America to Chapter Members.
